Since 1968 our commitment and promise is to produce exceptional wine of the highest quality. When you drink vini Santoleri you are drinking an expression of our territory. Our wines have the Italian stamp of quality assurance, Denominazione di Origine Controllata (D.O.C.) and our 30 hectors of vineyards are pruned using the vine training system of “tendone” where the vines grow upwards. We grow six types of grapes throughout our vineyards, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo (80%), Sangiovese (10%), Trebbiano d’Abruzzo (6%) and a small quantity of Pinot Nero, Pinot Grigio and Riesling. The grapes we use for bottling are Montepulciano d’Abruzzo for our red wines and Trebbiano d’Abruzzo for our white wine.
At the start of every season we ask the wine gods to grant us with good weather for a stellar vintage year. When they answer a maximum of 40,000 bottles with the Santoleri label are produced.
